I have now created my final magazine. I added photographs to put on all the pages of my magazine and I wrote two articles to present in my magazine. I have created a front page on photoshop, two double page articles on publisher and a contents page on publisher.
For my magazine I used blue and grey colours with bright writing. The writing is still legible but the backgrounds are a neutral colour. The pictures i used are a variety of people, some are edited with photoshop and others aren't.
I made sure i included the titles of my two articles on the front cover and matched the titles in the contents with front cover.
Whilst making my music magazine, i used the feedback from my questionnaires and my analysis of front covers, contents and articles to help be decide what I could put in my magazine and what I should avoid.

Music Magazine Contents & Advert Analysis
I have now completed two contents analysis and two advert analysis. These will help me to create the contents and advert for my magazine. I have learned about the types of contents i could do and what kinds of things feature on the contents. I have also learned how they are set out and what colours and fonts i could use. By analysing adverts i can now see how adverts are usually set out and the way the image is mainly the dominant image and there is a lack of text because this engages and intrigues the reader. I also now know what i should and what i prefer in the contents and adverts that i analysed.

Practice Front Page & Contents Page
Drafts of Music Magazine Cover & Double Page Article
I made hand-drawn drafts of the front cover of my music magazine and a double page article, this will give me an idea of what i am planning to use for my front page and article. This also gave me an idea of the layout i was going to use and whether it was going to work and look good.
Music Magazine Questionnaire Analysis
I used the results i collected from the ten questionnaires i made and gave out. I evaluated my questionnaires and wrote down what i should do for my magazine and what i should avoid. I also made a bar graph to visually show which features wpuld be most popular in a music magazine.
Music Magazine Questionnaire
I made a questionnaire to give to a range of people. I printed off ten copies of my questionnaire and gave it out. By making a questionnaire i can see what i should do for a music magazine and what i should avoid. It gave me inspiration for my final outcome for my music magazine. I wrote an introduction for my music magazine questionnaire to explain to people what i will use my questionnaire results for. I kept these results in mind whilst making the practices for my magazine cover and contents. This is an image of the final draft of my questionnaire...

Music Magazine Article Analysis
I analysed four different articles from music magazines. This then helped me to get ideas of what kind of information i would need to include in my own music magazine article. When i was analysing these articles, i looked at colour, layout, language and images. I could see that all the language used was suitable for the target audience of the article and parts of the article were in bold or capitals to make them stand out. The articles including informatioon the relevant subject, dates, times and quotes from bands or artists. I looked at articles that were set out as interviews and articles that were for informational purposes. I analysed the layout of the articles, where the pictures were placed, how the text was arranged etc. This gave me ideas of how i'd like to present my articles in my music magazine. I analysed the colour used in the article, this gave me an idea of which clours reflected which stereotype and genre and was useful for me to see what colours i would use in my magazine. The images used in the articles were also useful to analyse. I could see from the different images which kind of genre they represented. The text used in the articles was always easy to read and the importants parts of the articles stood out using bold or capital lettering. The text used colours that were bright and eye-catching, this gave me inspiration for my own music magazine articles.

Music Magazine Cover Analysis
I analysed four music magazine covers. I commented on the use of image, fonts, colour and layout. This gave me a better idea of what is popular and gave me ideas of what i could use on my magazine cover.
I analysed four varied genres of magazine and commented on how it addressed the target audience. I wrote about the dennotation and connotations of the magazine covers. I also wrote about the streotypes of the target audience and how this relates on the magazine cover.
These analysis' gave me a better idea of what my magazine will portray and what i could put in my magazine.

Introduction To AS Media Coursework
Week One: 03/10/08
I have been introduced to my AS Media Studies Coursework and given a booklet to explain all the aspects of the coursework. The coursework I have been given is to produce a music magazine, i can choose the genre, target audience and how the magazine is put together.
I wrote a brief for my magazine. My idea for my magazine was to produce a music magazine for the target audience of 15 to 18 year olds and use the genre of Indie music. I chose the genre of Indie music because i believe there is a gap in the market for a magazine of this genre. My magazine will be aimed at both boys and girls. I think i will change my target audience age to 15 to 17 year olds because using this smaller range will make it easier to relate to the audience. I need to decide on a title of my magazine and research into peoples opinions of my magazines and titles.
I am happy with the coursework we have been given because it is something i am interested in and i think it will be interesting to research. I think it will fun to make a magazine that is different and not regularly seen in the high street shops.
Over the weekend i need to read throught the coursework booklet to give me a greater understanding of what needs to be included in my coursework and i need to get my parents to sign my letter about completing the coursework.
